Collaboration with STIMBO Elektrofahrzeuge
Scheidegger Pauli approaches their work with a combination of pragmatism and playfulness. The studio's practice encompasses various fields, including product development and industrial design, interior design, as well as theoretical and experimental research.
Fascinated by the archetype, they seek to create new typologies for contemporary settings. With a systemic perspective, they draw insights from technological developments and foster consciousness of the cultural significance of objects, materials, and processes. The need for socially and environmentally responsible modes of production and consumption drives the studio's incentive to engage with the industry. Based on the exchange of knowledge and perspectives, Scheidegger Pauli values synergetic relationships with its collaborators.
After getting to know each other at ECAL, Massimo Scheidegger and Bruno Pauli Caldas founded their studio in 2023, which is currently based in Berlin and Lausanne. Massimo Scheidegger formerly worked as a product designer at Chris Kabel in Rotterdam. Bruno Pauli Caldas gained experience as an industrial designer at Kram/Weisshaar in Lisbon and Stockholm and is currently employed as a Student Assistant in the Industrial Design BA at ECAL.
Scheidegger Pauli offers services across product design and development for furniture, lighting, consumer goods and transportation, as well as interior design for exhibitions, retail and private clients. A hands-on attitude, manifested through prototyping and experimentation, is integral to the studio's design process. Every project is accompanied by in-depth research to create a comprehensive understanding of the context and to incorporate expertise from various disciplines. This enables the studio to uncover hidden potentials while pursuing a holistic approach to social and environmental sustainability that considers materials, supply chains, production methods, and various factors enabling a circular economy.
